A native Houstonian, Darius Altman graduated from Harvard University cum laude in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, focusing on urban development. His senior thesis studied the adaptation of zoning in the United States, with a case study on Houston as the only major American city without zoning. After graduating, Darius spent some time in New York City working for Tungsten Partners, a firm specializing in place-making, mixed-use development consulting, retail brokerage and hospitality development. Later, Darius returned to Houston to work with Berkadia. There, he honed his financial modeling skills underwriting loans for multi-family properties and mobile home communities. Darius speaks English, Lithuanian, and Russian, and in his free time enjoys being outside, including biking, kayaking, and barbecuing with friends.
